PieSafe ("we," "our," or "the app") is a recipe organization app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the display name you provide.
When you use the app, we store the content you create: recipes, ingredients, directions, notes, cookbooks, grocery lists, meal plans, and any photos you attach to a recipe or cookbook. If you add friends within the app, we store that connection between accounts.
If you import a recipe from a website, we access the URL you provide in order to read the recipe from that page. We do not track your general browsing activity.
We use the information above solely to provide the app's features: storing and displaying your recipes, letting you organize them into cookbooks, generating grocery lists, planning meals, and sharing recipes with friends you've connected with inside the app. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your recipes are private by default and visible only to you. If you choose to share a recipe with a friend inside the app, that friend receives their own independent copy of it. Your display name is visible to accounts you're connected with as friends.
Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider. Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that only you (and, for recipes you've explicitly shared, the friend you shared with) can access it.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app, under Account > Delete Account. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
PieSafe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
